If you’re looking for flag holders, you may run into a little bit of a problem. Fortunately or unfortunately, they’re just too many types of flag holders to choose from. Because of this, it can be really difficult and frustrating to find them for your home. Just to make things easier, we’re going to go through the three main types of holders and tell you a bit about each one.

Flag pole holders are the most common types and are normally mounted to the front of the house by the door. These usually hold either a national flag or perhaps a sports team flag. Because these are essentially just small brackets, they’re usually fairly inexpensive and pretty easy to find. However, you do want to make sure that the one that you purchase will hold strong if it is going to be outside. You don’t want to be replacing the flag every two years after all.

Motorcycle flag holders are similar except that the size of the motorcycle holder can vary depending on the size of the flag. The flags that these were designed for are much smaller so that they look good and don’t add much wind resistance is to the motorcycle.

Additionally, these holders are usually sold in bike shops or motorcycle shops, but they can be difficult to find. A much easier route is to simply shop online because there is a much larger selection and you won’t have to worry about driving or riding all over town to find them.

The last type to discuss is the ones used to erect a flag on a boat. These can either be signal flags, flags that represent the boat or even a sports team. These also have their own unique sizes and shapes. Obviously, because they spend all their time on water, these types of flag holders need to be resistant to salt, water, and seawater in general. Luckily, almost all flag holders are made from stainless steel, so this really shouldn’t be an issue as long as you pick up a decent one.

You’ll also want to buy any of these online, just because that is where you’ll find the best selection of styles available. In addition, many of these flag holders can be fully customized to reflect the style, age, or name of the boat.
