xelement jackets good for street riding?

im looking to buy a motorcycle jacket by x element here is the one i wan ( http://www.leatherup.com/p/Chest-Protectors/Polycarbonate-Elastic-Full-Body-Motorcycle-Venom-Armor/54621.html ) i want this jacket cuz its very hot where im from but not sure if it will protect me well. and it is CE approved armor on back, shoulders and elbows so what do you think?
